This weekend's ride - Sunday morning?

Tom ... are you around? interested in a "recovery" ride on Sunday, after your usual 200km plus Saturday ride?
Michael ... is off in Kawagoe racing.
Jerome ... where are you?
Marek ... would you be interested in stretching your legs on Sunday morning, or are you off to Kyushu?
David J. ... blog access blocked by major bank's firewall software -- good risk management since you would not want to take your eyes off the trading screen in times like this!
James Knott (a/k/a jimmy from shinagawa) ... thanks for your many contributions to the blog. Are you riding these days, interested in heading out on Sunday? I think we passed you headed the other direction last month on the Tamagawa bike path -- a blinding flash of light.

  1. David, yes you know how much I appreciate these recuperation rides! Tell me what time and I'll be there.

  4. Can I join you as well?

  5. OK! See all of you at 9:00. Thierry hope to see you join tomorrow. I did 200k again with the NFCC grimpeurs...I've got to unwind myself now! Thierry, I think it is best to meet us all at Sekidobashi. Cutting out the number of RdV points usually enhances punctuality down the road. You will most likely run into each other anyways along the narrow TCR!

  8. Hi,
The normal road that I use should be busy at this late time.
How long does it normaly take from futago st. to Sekidobashi?? 1hr?

  9. Thierry, David L. usually does it in less than 50 minutes from his home which is a little further from Futakotamagawa. To be on the safe side and because the road is not always obvious (lots of gravel stretches), though, you should reserve 1 hour though.

  11. Thierry:
We will plan to leave my house at 8:05 or 8:10 and be at Futako station (at the crossing by the traffic light) by 8:15. We will look for you there.
    My cellphone is 090 6482 3304.
    Best,
    David

  12. Good luck everybody for tomorrow.

Jerome, Thierry, I send you an invitation for this blog, so that you can log-in with your own identity and also post blogs by yourself.

I went to Nagai-san today and met Jerome by chance. My Cervelo is far from being ready, but Nagai-san promised to finish by the 20th, which is a holiday. Any plans for this day (Except Tom, who is dating his wife)?

  13. Michael:

I do not have plans yet for the 20th. Not sure yet but if my M&A deals slow down I would love to get in a ride. My kids have school that day.

Otherwise, I saw the new bike. Great looking frame ... but I think with the light grey and red frame, you will need to move away from orange/yellow tires and other components.
