Anyway, the ride started cold and clammy. I saw some mist as we approached Futakotamagawa, and it just got thicker and thicker as we headed up the Kawasaki side of the river. Fog.
By the time we entered Onekan, the fog had cleared, and we could see a snow covered Mt. Fuji ... just not from the spots where I took photos. Anyway, a very nice spin at a relaxed pace.

Fewer Pokemon idiots along the Tank Road? Although I live on said road, I've been too busy (with a new budgie) for the last month to walk or ride its length.
ReplyDeleteMy home is in the middle of nowhere, but being right on the Tank Road's doorstep has kept me living in the same place for ten years. No plans to move now, even though next year I may be faced with two hour journies to get to work :-(
Yes! The pokemon go idiots were nowhere to be seen. Indeed, the Tank Road would be a nice feature outside one's door, though I would not want to commute into Tokyo from there ...
ReplyDeleteRichard, post some photos of the budgie :) Maybe bike and budgie :)

Very calm lady. Does she not fly?
ReplyDeleteNot so calm in this one :-) I think he is a he, but he's still to young to be sure.

He flies like a stunt pilot. I'm amazed at his sharp turns and bursts of speed!
Lovely. I was just guessing from her behaviour. Our very male budgie would never be so quiet and focused on eating for so long... But you will see beyond puberty...
ReplyDeleteHe's a lovely bird. Sven died several weeks ago, and he was ten. I never dreamed I could find a lovely bird again, but I think I got luckily. He was pretty sick though - nebulizing twice a week! Seems on the road to recovery now.
ReplyDeleteSven got me through some tough times. Sometimes I feel guilty that I now focus my love and attention on Saul. But I buried Sven along the Tank Road, so I can tip my cap to him every time I pass his grave :-)
This will be my final hijacking of these comments for budgie-related matters! ... Saul's kingdom:

Wow, you have built a really nice castle for budgies! Hope Saul develops nicely.
