Sign me up for this (I had something like it on a previous bike, and also on a helmet I used a few years back ... and would use it again at least for my commuting bike. Do you know if it is available at retail in Japan?
I agree with Ludwig/Manfred that the tape is to be used sparingly on something like the glossy surface of his beautiful new Canyon (though I would think a small patch wrapping each side of the fork and the seatstays would do not harm). And it is no substitute for bright clothing w/ reflective surfaces.
I have no idea to its availability here in Japan, it was simply an article and video I came across that I thought you guys would have interest in. I suspect we could get hold of a roll or two without much difficulty.

Sounds like a nice idea. Have also seen reflective tape for the spokes, to serve the same purpose.
But I wonder - isn't it even saver and cooler to just wear flashy bike wear and save the bicycles original design?
