Project Faggin Orange Speed

Three tasks for today:

1. Pick-up the Peugeot Galbier from the bike shop (hopefully)
2. Visit day 4 of the Bremen Six Days Race with my son Henri
3. Start thinking about Project Faggin Orange Speed

Oh yes, and work at the university.
It seems that I missed Boney M. at the race yesterday. Never mind, today there is another great band playing that nobody should miss: Middle of the Road! And this, after I have seen Abba in October in Berlin. What will be next? Perhaps Alvin Stardust? Long Tall Ernie and the Shakers? Or, the best band of all times, the Kursaal Flyers?

The Faggin frame cost less than 8.000 Yen, couldn't resist. The idea is to set up a cheap speed bike with modern components, 105 range, flat handle. Only one chain ring in the front, 9 or 10 in the rear.Budget 300 Euro, completed. Will built some nice wheel by my own again. This will become another good looking bike.
Little Does She Know

Little does she know that I know that she knows
That I know she's two-timin' me
Little does she know that I know that she knows
That I know she's cheatin' on me

I was outside the one stop
When I saw her in the corner
And I didn't like what I see

Little does she know that I know that she knows
That I know she's two-timin' me

She was sharing her spin dryer with a guy in a tie-dye
When she saw my reflection in the chrome
I knew that she'd seen me 'cause she dropped her bikini
The one that I got her in Rome

Little does she know that I know that she knows
That I know she's two-timin' me
Little does she know that I know that she knows
That I know she's cheatin' on me

When she finished her laundry she was all in a quandary
And made it for the street like a hare
Her escape was so urgent, she forgot her detergent
And dropped all her clean underwear

Little does she know that I know that she knows
That I know she's cheatin' on me

Nice projects!!!

For all those years I thought Boney M. was a Belgian phenomenon!

Looks like MOB and I have more in common than I ever thought (except for that driver of the "car-that-can-speak" ...never knew he could sign too until I was taught so by MOB).

Oh well..."by the rivers of Babylon there was a man"...

I hope you are not forgetting about that important project called "TransAlp". I'm getting seriously worried we will have only the London chapter complete the race and an a very disappointed Japan representative returning to Tokyo, wondering why he has been training so hard, risking his life multiple times on mid-night brevets and 246 rides to work.

Not to worry. MOB and I have been communicating regularly about the big June project called "Transalp". Still over 5 1/2 months left. We just are trying not to mention it in the blog too often, since doubtless others will grow tired of it long before the actual event starts ... unless anyone tries to pick up a stray entry position or (James M.) has a contact with a sponsor (High5) and gets a slot that way? My sincere wish for MOB's training in January and February is that he not venture out on icy roads, slip and fall and break any bones or worse. That, plus of course daily rides on the rollers/trainer, free weights 3 times a week, swimming, a diet of medicine-like precision the details of which I have communicated to Mrs. MOB, and of course, the finest in cycling-related pharmaceuticals -- Spanish meat, if you know what I mean.
Seriously, I just had the pins out of my arm yesterday and am back home from the hospital today, and will be off the bike for the next weekend or two at least, I expect. I may need to get on the trainer at some point, if I get stir crazy and if the weather is bad here in February I may even give in to download one of those $10.99 "Sufferfest" videos I read about ... but I would not wish the indoor trainer on anyone else, especially for an event that is not until end of June.
